Below is a growing list of people and projects already expressing an interest in Kaua`i Time as a local currency to foster the exchange of goods and services on Kaua`i.

 

ARTISTS

 

D. Hunter Beyer is a botanical illustrator, permaculture instructor and co-author with Dr. Franklin Martin of the Permacopia series (Books I, II, & III)

 

Patrick Ching is a wildlife artist, ornithological illustrator, and author of children's books including coloring books.

 

Arius Hopman, is a digital photographer in Hanapepe, excited to have some of his stunning landscape and wildlife photography appear on bills of Kaua`i Time


 

 

BUSINESSES

 

Greensong Botanicals is excited to participate in a local currency for Kaua`i, and will accept it as currency for their line of body products.

 

Kaua`i Massage will offer a variety of massage and tissue work in exchange for Kaua`i Time.

 

Mana 'Ohana a locally-grown produce vendor and restaurant in Hanapepe, is proud to pay dividends on time invested in Kaua`i.

 

XNAU Web Design will accept Kaua`i Time as percentage of payments for design work.

 

Healing Horses Kaua`i will gladly exchange Kaua`i Time for Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy - guided riding on their Horses and polo ponies.

 

BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS

 

Such as these below are ripe for involvement with a local currency.  If you know anyone active in these organizations, please spread the good word about Kaua`i Time:

 

Kaua`i Green Map project showcasing scores of locally owned business doing their part to support the community and be environmentally responsible.

 

The Made in Kaua`i program run by the County of Kaua`i to boost the economic health of locally owned businesses with locally made products.

 

 

 

NON-PROFITS

 

Activate Kaua`i has lead workshops in permaculture and local currency on Kaua`i.

 

KKCR, Kaua`i Community Radio Station is exploring augmenting staff and volunteer compensation with KT, as well as gifting Kaua`i Time to supporters during drives.

 

The Kaua`i chapter of SurfRider has expressed an interest in backing the value of Kaua`i Time hours with their volunteer hours cleaning Kaua`i beaches.

 

Malama Kaua`i has been very supportive in helping local currency get off to a good start on the garden island.
